A delegation from the Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), led by Senior Vice President Mr. Altaf A. Ghaffar, visited PCSIR Laboratories Complex in Karachi on January 18, 2024.
The Director General of PCSIR Laboratories Complex, Karachi and other senior officers warmly welcomed the delegation. The delegation consisted the members from various sectors such as food, textile, agrochemical, and chemical.
A meeting was held in which Dr. Hafiz Rub Nawaz, Director General, Dr. Razia Sultana Director P&D, Dr. Khaula Shirin, Consultant, all heads of centers also participated.
The primary focus of the meeting was to explore potential areas of collaboration between PCSIR Laboratory and KCCI, including joint research and development projects for SMEs, technology transfer initiatives, and knowledge sharing platforms.
During the visit, KCCI members witnessed the facilities available at PCSIR Labs Karachi. They showed great interest in locally developed products and laboratory equipment, including agrochemicals, value-added food products, and the water purification plant at PCSIR Labs Karachi.
The senior vice president of KCCI proposed the signing of an MoU between PCSIR Laboratories Complex, Karachi and Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry KCCI.
The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing a strong commitment to establishing a collaborative partnership and maintaining regular communication.
